Seriously, what's with people pushing for more realism in Minecraft? Screw that noise! Minecraft is a bizzare and whimsical place full of square geography, long nosed-villagers, cows that grow mushrooms, four-legged long-necked exploding green things, etc... OF COURSE the moon and sun will be square in a world like that!

The only thing I'd say Notch should change is the insistence that East is anything but the direction the sun rises in, because changing around the basics of what cardinal directions mean is just mind-numbingly confusing and makes communicating direction in Minecraft a pain in the ass.
