Posted by Jenni 1 minute ago. One of the founding principles of the game is that everything is made up of cubes and squares. Everything has always been square. Why would the moon be round? It doesn't make sense given the context and history of the game. Squaaare.  Posted by Fari 1 minute ago. Square. Everything else in Minecraft is square, so the sun and moon should be too.
