Can't you make it round by yourself using a texture pack?
Keep it square!
if it stays square there will not be any moon cycles so what you really are voteing on is weather or not to add a way to tell what day it is in minecraft!

This game is all about cubes, and The moon and sun should be too! I bet you that if we were on the moon and looked at the planet of minecraft, it would be a cube too.

Report Abuse guys. think about it. notch did all that work to make those sunsets so beautiful with all the lighting and stuff. but then its just kind of ruined by this dumb square. have you poeple ever seen a real sunset? ITS EFFING BEAUTIFUL AND ITS ROUND! AHA!
