another reason keep square: if u want it round just get a freakin texture pack.

Unfortunately, same logic can be applied the other way around:

Want it square? Texture pack.

I really don't think that's any justification at all. This is NOTCH'S game, not ours- I don't believe we have any right to tell him he can't make the sun and moon round just because WE don't want it that way. :/

Another reason to change to round: if you want it square just get a freakin' texture pack.

ohw. so your saying minecraft shouldn't release anymore updates. because if we want more we should just download a mod. is that what your saying?

The point of a circular moon is so it can have phases! A texture pack can't do that. Notch released a picture of a circular moon with phases that he's going to implement if people vote for a circular moon.

As it's pretty even, I say leave as square, and those who want it round could have already edited their texture pack to make it round. Remember a round Sun/Moon isn't "new" to Minecraft.

1. Round moon made of square pixels.
2. Round Terrain made of square blocks.
It's just how Minecraft is!

Copy and paste this on.

Come on, guys! It's not round, it's just more edges! It looks AWESOME compared to the constant non-changing classical. Who knows, with lunar cycles, maybe Notch'll add more advanced farming, with a calendar or something!

I would go with square but then we won't have lunar phases or solar eclipses. So round it is.
