Why don't they just have a option that you can change from square Sun/Moon to round Sun/Moon like the clouds in pre release 6

I use Painterly. As long as my binary star system and shattered moon remain, I don't care.

I just started, so it has lest nostalgia effect for me I guess. I really liked the look of the new moon.

Why don't you go with the best of both worlds and just make it an option?

Being so far far away and made of millions of blocks, they should appear rounded to us...

When I first played minecraft, I foun the sheer extent to which the square theme extended to be somewhat endeering.
The square sun/moon was so fitting and unique, I find it hard to imagine anything else in minecraft. Higher graphical detail is always nice, yes, but that should never come at the cost of consistent visual design

I agree, however i do think that having other shapes for a moon would be cool, but i still would like the rest of minecrfat to be squared

Is that why dirt blocks can float in mid air?

    I see your logic

So says the guy who plays a game with creepers that explode and the whole world is in squares. Dumbass.

    Minecraft is based on realism?
Last time I check "realism" was pretty much as far as you could get from a completely blocky world in which squarish men fight exploding bush monsters while jumping between dimensions via magical portals, all the whilst fighting to satisfy a blood-craze for diamonds

true... the nether was a truly realistic experience as were the square trees, the square limbs and the infinite water sources

why ask? not only would a circle make it not feel like minecraft, circles are not allowed in the game anyways.
