Report Abuse I like the square sun/moon, keeping with the blocky Minecraft theme. The round sun and moon are beautiful -- I love the detail in both of them -- but the square sun and moon were pretty iconic for the game. However it turns out, it won't be big enough to break my game experience, and I'm sure someone will come out with a texture pack for the alternative sun/moon shape. Report Abuse Keep it square because minecraft is all about square blocks so why can't the sun be like that Both the "square" sun/moon and the "circle" sun/moon are actually square in theory. The pixels that make up the new sun/moon are big and obvious. You can't really call it a real circle especially when it keeps the pixal like style of Minecraft. I mean yes, there are texturepacks that have round suns, but keep the original sun square  This is not our Universe we're talking about it's Minecraftia where everything is square or cubic. Abstain. I use texture packs anyways. Honestly, isn't this something that will only affect vanilla? If you don't like it, customize it.
