For everyone voting round only because they want to see Moon phases, please understand that a square moon can also have phases. Round Looks the best, But square fits with the "blocky" feel of Minecraft. I would pref if round won, bit i'm gonna get a texture pack where it is round anyhow  SQUARE!!! YES!!! OMG!!!
