i guess it depends on what the goal is graphically. if the game is going to maintain a noticeably cubic grid structure, i think it's only fitting to keep a square sun/moon. but if the goal is to give everything a smoother, more rounded appearance i'd go with a round sun/moon. as it stands, i like the square structure. it is reminiscent of the "good old days" of gaming and sort of sets the game apart from those that focus so heavily on highly polished graphics rather than depth and experience. What if I told every voter for square that the sun and moon are made of pixels. Pixels that are square. Therefore the sun is made of squares. That being said it doesn't change the concept of all squares. It would be just like bulding a giant pokeball in the game. the pokeball is made of cubes, but from far away looks rounder than when close to it! Keep the squary moon! Report Abuse [ ] whatever makes minecraft more epicer (if that's a word...) the first thing i saw in the game was the moon back in early 2010 ahhh that brings me back memories minecraft moon and sun you will be missed R.I.P  However, the toggle option is not a bad idea. It seemed to be pretty split for the people that cared. People also keep posting here due to the low blow Notch pulled with the polls, as it was honestly quite a dick move on the community. No matter if you wanted Round to win, you have to agree it's a dick move. Which is the annoying part. If round would've won fair and square (no pun intended) then I wouldn't be upset. I'd be annoyed, but I'd live with it. For the most part right now though, it seems most people are just venting on here for the sake of venting or talking. look a round moon can open up hole new things in minecraft like on a full moon creepers are stronger or endermen spawn more or if you sleep on a serten fase you go to the dream realm people are not looking at the big panting'lol' but its not even going to be a full round shape its a square roundish thing Notch wanted it in here for a reason a little thing can go a long way Posted by jj in reply to person October 14, 2011 at 1:36 am.
