Report Abuse My solution: Make it the moon from Majora's Mask  You do realize that it isn't actually "round," right? It is still made up of a small amount of pixels, just like everything else in Minecraft. I think it looks much better "round." When you first see the moon, you laugh at it for few seconds and see everything around are squares and cubes. Making it circle, would be like putting the squares out of terrains and making some round slopes. i say keep it square since minecraft is square. you can always download a texture pack. Report Abuse minecraft isn't square, when you look at stuff from a distance, it looks like a fairly blocky landscape, which is what the round moon looks like... its not round, its an octagon... which is fairly blocky...

I love the square sun/moon but notch hasn't let me down yet! Make the phases mean something other than just aesthetic purposes.
