getting rid of the moon being square make minecraft not, well... minecraft anymore. It was awesome the way it was, it doesn't need any new fancy stuff. just the plain and simple moon it use to be, same goes for the sun to. Keep em' square! I don't mind a circle sun, but can we keep the square moon? I really hope everyone votes round so I can do that instead of a feature that requires effort. Minecraft purists make me laugh. The moon phases have looked terrible on literally every square moon I've seen, so why stick stubbornly to that aesthetic if it's going to make stuff look like trash? We've already broken the aesthetic multiple times. This isn't going to hurt anything. Hey, have you guys noticed shadows are circles? I vote square, but a very blocky circle would work too. but it would have to be a little blockyer than the one notch posted here.

Internet democracy for the lulz.
Most of the people that chose square are just trollin. 1.9 prerelease 4 has a round moon and sun. Posted by Aexis Rai October 13, 2011 at 8:20 pm. Report Abuse Circle it is. Posted by Ian Levesque October 13, 2011 at 8:19 pm. Report Abuse EVERYBODY VOTE SQUARE! Round moon and round Sun and flat planet doesnt make sense!!
Plus the game needs no more graphical fixes! The simplicity is lovely! Think about all the fan art with the square sun and moon that will later become obsolete and incorrect if this passes! Think of all the chaos! Think of the feeling you'll get when you look up and see a circle in the sky, and how it used to remind you of your homeland with the square in the void of space! VOTE SQUARE!!! Posted by kevthebrave3 October 13, 2011 at 8:17 pm.
