Keep them square please, if you want a round sun/moon you can just download a texture pack.

Copy and paste if you agree

But if you think about how the world is made out of blocks anyway, and we DO make pixely circles and spheres sometimes, the round moon makes so much sense. And it looks way better while keeping with the theme. DOWN WITH THE NAYSAYERS. KEEP THE ROUND MOON. PHASES WOULDN'T LOOK GOOD OTHERWISE.

I like the square moon/sun, but doing moon phases is a cool concept.. working towards a calendar idea.. maybe making a scheduled eclipse, when the Normal world and the Nether collide..? 2012? The Minin' Calendar's end? oooooooooot

Round, of course. And depending on the phases of the moon, mobs would be stronger...
Imagine : no moon, very dark night and very strong mobs... brrr!
You stay home.
