I thought the square moon and sun were awesome. But I think the new moon and sun look just as good... Also you can see that each night the moon changes (Like in real life) This might be that some mobs can only spawn on a full moon. I dunno, But I still think its a good idea :D

that actually sounds really cool like a werepig mob where on the full moon pigmen turn into werepigs

I don't think the game should start changing things to round, because they have always been square and that is the style, the feel you get from Minecraft.

I disagree with a round sun and moon unless there are plans for the phases of the moon to actually affect something(potion making, special enchantments, dunno what else) because then it would be OK since a square moon with phases would most likely look worse than having circles.

Otherwise, I say no and have voted.....

I agree with the lunar effects, That is what I was actually thinking, that would be a great feature. if it won't be added then keep the square moon.

Fine, if they're circles, at least keep them the standard minecraft squary-circles that we all know and love.

    They are: http://imgur.com/2iFRw

If you think about how far away the moon is, it looks like it's still pretty blocky. ;P
