The minecraft world is a cube, nuff said. Posted by Rev in reply to Rob October 13, 2011 at 7:14 pm. Report Abuse No, it is an infinite edgeless plane. You have retroactively flunked basic geometry.
Posted by MarkSoupial in reply to Rev October 13, 2011 at 7:19 pm. Report Abuse Technically it's infinite endless Euclidean 3-space, not a plane, since it has depth. As far as I know, anyway.
Many of us understand it can be round and still fit minecraft, round and made of squares just like mountains and terrain and blah blah blah. We understand that. However, some of us quite like the square sun, just because we're used to it and like it. But, it's all irrelevant since it can be changed with texture packs anyway XD Posted by Anonymous October 13, 2011 at 7:10 pm. Report Abuse Think about it. If it's circular and made of low-res pixels that implies that it's a sphere made out of minecraft blocks. Should it be reminded that all round items are either items or entities? Posted by . in reply to No one October 13, 2011 at 7:11 pm. Report Abuse should it be reminded that the circle moon will still be made out of square blocks, seen from far making it seem that it's round, making more sense that just a big moon cube
Posted by Rev in reply to No one October 13, 2011 at 7:10 pm. Report Abuse Only if it should be reminded that the world is three-dimensional blocks and the moon is a perfectly flat sprite (just like items).
Posted by Rev in reply to No one October 13, 2011 at 7:13 pm. Report Abuse I'm inferring you're arguing that the world is square (well, cubes), and that therefore the moon should be square, and that items/entities can be round because they are a different class of physical substance than the blocks that make up the world. Am I right?
Posted by Rev in reply to Rev October 13, 2011 at 7:17 pm. Report Abuse Let me just go ahead and move forward rather than waiting for a response: If that is the logic, then it also holds the moon, which is ALSO a different class of object, can be round. Unless you're just magically summoning up this arbitrary "only objects of types X Y and Z can be round" rule, in which case I politely request what source this rule has besides you.
