I seriously think you should make them round. There are many good points that people are making, and besides if you don't like it well, just change the texture. If you are adding phases to the moon then you should defiantly make it round. Even though it goes against the whole 'blocky' thing, it would be a very nice touch since you've added the light detail and the awesome sunset effect, it would be great.

    I specifically design buildings to frame the sun or moon at sunrise and sunset for effect.

    I do, when the sun goes down the the sun raises, I just think that it is really neato' how it really has a great look. Especially since there is the awesome sunset effect.

in game option my ass if you want it round Retexture it dumb####s its easy to retexture you only need 2 programs

    what about the people who don't want to retexture
    it is easier to add an option in the game
