I understand the argument for squares, but a square sun really just looks both weird and boring to me. Pixelation is a must, of course, but I prefer a round sun. However, I actually like a square moon! Its texture isn't a plain, so making it a square isn't so boring and looks nice. Square, don't make them round, please. Report Abuse cubes are minecraft's signature! so i say a 3d cube sun and moon! like how cubivore sticks to their cube theme. even the ripples in the water are cube! The sun and moon should be square, as it is now and has always been, if it is a big issue, there could just be an option to change between whichever one you wish to use. But the game is about blocks, round suns and moons make no sense to be apart of the game.  Could be both... Rund WITH square edges How minecraft planet looks like? Is it square/round or platform? Out of interest though, how many people play the 'naked' (default texture pack) version of Mincraft? We'll leave that for another poll I guess...
