Having cycles of the moon is better, and events can thus happen based on it aswell, certain mobs/objects/NPC events etc etc, whatever Notch wants in it, its round, but made of blocks none the less, I welcome this change, and If you dont like it use a different texture pack! Report Abuse You seem really smart, you know? Eggs aren't square. Enderpearls aren't square. In fact, lots of things aren't square. The sun and moon should be round anyways because they are far away, and made up of lots of small blocks.
