I'm surprised how close it is. I'm also surprised how upsetting this issue is to a few people. No matter what happens, there are (and will be) texture packs for whatever the fudge you really want. Calm down.

It still has the blocky appeal in its pixelated texture, just like the textures of eggs or ender pearls, or eyes of ender.
Square moon phases look ridiculous.

    Yea, im from alpha and i say SQUARE! the round looks great but i think the square is better, it suits the spirit of minecraft more. it should be optional

    I'm an indev player, indev was LONG before alpha, before the world were "infinite" even and i voted round, it looks better, is still not really round but made out of blocks and i don't fear change, i welcome it!
