Report Abuse If you can make the phases of the moon look good with a square moon work then keep it square. If you can't then make it round. Adding a graphics option for a choice between round and square is also a good idea. I'm voting round anyways because it just seem like phases of a square moon would look really weird. Report Abuse The square moon and sun are one of Minecraft's old defining features. People can ALREADY get round celestial objects through use of a texture pack. If you want to change them to round, do so via a menu option to use alternate graphics, or an alternate "default" texture pack. It looks like the poll is an even split so far. Don't throw away part of Minecraft's quirky charm, you'll make half your players unhappy no matter which way it goes - but you CAN give everyone what they want in this case! I'm assuming it will still be blocky when round, but I think it would be good to try it out, if people really don't like it he can always change back. 11 vote difference!
