use a texture pack if you want it round!

I voted round. A lot has changed since Minecraft first was released. I would rather see an option somewhere that we could choose. I do not like the whole 'needing to eat' which was added for realism. So if that is the road he is heading down a round sun/moon only makes since. Also sorry if I have a similar comment, accidentally pressed 'enter' early when I first started typing, the other can be deleted by a mod.

This can be changed in every texturepack, so really the users can decide for themselves. I've been playing with a round sun and moon for ages, but I think the default for Minecraft should be square.

Just keep it the way it is now, square by default, but round if you so choose to have it like that in your texturepack.

It's not gonna be an option, that'd be retarded. And for all those ppl saying round doesn't fit: it won't be perfect round, NOTHING in digital graphics are round, but made from square pixels, so get over it, round won

Keep it square! I've been playing since Indev, I don't want Minecraft to turn into silly circles!

Why is this not an in-game option?

'Make it square but add an option where u can change it'

Best suggestion yet. That way people can get what they ask for and try it on. If enough people change it and like it and/or if enough people post screenshots that others like, then maybe it will become permanent. And, if not, maybe the desire for it will die off.

I would like round as I prefer things as realistic as they can be. If they stay square, no issue as I'll just switch to a texture pack that has them round. Anywho, I do think having an option would be best as that way you make both groups happy.
