WTF minecaft is a block world, you cant have a game based on blocks to have a round sun and moon, I think notch is going to blow it and add to many pointless things that slowly ruin the game   If the sun and the moon becomes round im going to make a torrent of minecraft and change the sun and the moon back to squares and give it away to as many people as i can Posted by sci_fi_nut_123 in reply to Zack October 14, 2011 at 5:49 am. Report Abuse that is illegal... you can not redistribute the .jar, it is all copyrighted... you can make a texture pack, that is mostly similar to default, with square sun/moon, or if you wanted round, you can edit that too...

Actually- I agree with others now. Put in the option to change between Square and circle- for the old skool players such as myself seeing this is upsetting. But for the new players who know not the difference it's good. Just add in the option

I love the almost-tongue-in-cheek idea that the sun, moon, and clouds are blocky. It adds to the charm since we know that you COULD make them round, but that's just not Minecraft's personality. Square forever, please. Those who want round can play "all those other games". Guys listen if you get Pre4 you will see how amazing the moon looks.It also goes through lunar phases which is so cool.Please let notch keep it round
