give me the option! solution!  i thought this was for our actual real life moon Square...It just fits quit whinning just keep it a square for "quaintness" but keep the circle textures in the .jar so ppl can add them to texture packs I sense a toggle. Noo not our moon T_T What i don't like about the round sun/moon is that the moon has a round shadow. But we all know that the minecraft world is a VERY big square area. So even if the moon was round, it the moon phase shadows should be square. But what about the 3 Creepers Moon t-shirt? It clearly has the CLASSIC SQUARE moon that is the Minecraft moon. They already took Pluto away from us, at least let us keep our moon! Also from a technical standpoint, the square moon rising (or sinking) over (or under) the flat top of a windowsill is the perfect indicator of day and night passing by, for those who want to go to bed precisely on time. People can download a texture pack if they want an unnaturally round moon, but the classic Minecraft moon is a giant square in the heavens surrounded by square stars and sometimes blocked by square clouds. The addition of phases for the moon would make that an aesthetically pleasing addition. Maybe have 'fancy' graphics have the pixelated round moon/sun, and 'fast' have the square moon/sun? Report Abuse Nooooooooo, Don't start making round things in a perfectly square world.  i say square because it looks more minecrafty. minecraft is mado of blocks so it would be pretty lame with a round sun/moon
